Portland (Ore.) Mercury
The reasonableness of its theory and the evident practical results of its application in healing the afflicted and reforming the depraved, makes Christian Science that which appeals to and satisfies those who turn to it in time of need.
Christian Science removes from man's experience nothing which is desirable, good, or true, but its mission is to affirm the fact that discord and distress of whatsoever nature belong not to the normal state of man, and that an understanding and application of the universal law of God frees man from them, and in their stead brings health, peace, and righteousness. An investigation of the subject with unbiased mind cannot fail to produce respect for Christian Science and its Leader, and force the conviction that the world is better for its teaching.
