I enjoy reading the testimonies of healing, and feel that I can endorse every word. I would like to acknowledge my gratitude to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to my practitioner, also to the kind friends who first told me of Christian Science.

At that time I was in bed, could not stand on one of my feet, and could not endure the pain it caused me to let it hang down while I used my crutch. I had suffered about six years from an ulcer on my ankle. When it first became sore, I did not pay much attention to it for some time, but it got so bad that I had to go to a doctor, and then medicine, bandages, and rest, were prescribed and carried out, without giving relief, until I heard of the Christian Science treatment, and that some Christian Scientists lived near by who were healing cases which the doctors had failed to cure.

No one except those who have been without any hope of ever getting well can have an idea of how I, an old, widowed mother, felt when I heard the sweet words which told of the promises of our heavenly Father, and found that they were just as valid now as they were when first promised us. I never did doubt God's goodness, mercy, and power; but, like so many others, thought that these promises would never be realized during our stay on earth. I am thankful to say, however, that I was healed and can walk all about my home without any trouble. I never have had to use the crutch again, neither have I taken any medicine or anything. I simply trust God forgiveth all our iniquities, who healeth all our diseases.
