A Helpful Influence

More than by numbers and stately edifices the influence of Christian Science may be traced in the thought, habits, and ideals of all peoples. It is far less common now than of old "to enjoy ill health," and the perpetual talk of aches and pains, past and present misfortunes, and possible future trials is dropping rapidly into disuse.

Let the world rejoice that the time has come when in any organization the standard of good cheer and kindliness has been raised so high that its members are regarded by every one as inconsistent if they indulge indigo moods or criticise their fellow-men.

Denver (Col.) Times.

It is absured to suppose that a Christian Scientist would entrust his health and happiness to this religious belief if he did not find in it a larger degree of safety than in any other method of cure. The type of manhood and of womanhood found among Christian Scientists is not of the kind which would cling to any doctrine because of fanatical belief in its promises.
