Eight years ago I was suffering with chronic stomach...
Eight years ago I was suffering with chronic stomach trouble, neuralgia in every part of the body, and consequent nervousness. I had suffered untold agony from these troubles for more than twenty-five years. Under the care of different physicians I was sent to the hospital twice, but received no lasting benefit. Through a kind friend who came to my home and read to me from Science and Health and The Christian Science Journal, I first saw the beauty of this truth. As I heard the words "God is Love," I at once saw that He is not the author of sickness.
When I commenced reading Science and Health I could not sit up all day, but after reading a few weeks, I was out calling. I then took absent treatment for a month or so, and was entirely healed, none of the trouble ever returning. I have never used medicine since a few days before hearing of Christian Science. After two years I had the privilege of taking class instruction from one of Mrs. Eddy's students and received great benefit there from. The physical gain is not to be compared to the spiritual uplifting. I write this hoping it will help others who are suffering. I wish to express my gratitude to our dear for what she has done and is doing to redeem mankind.—Mrs. H.J. Kittridge, Camden, Me.
