My New Year's resolution was to send in my testimony to the Sentinel. I am ashamed to say I have waited three years to do this.

I was healed of creeping paralysis, rheumatism, and nervous prostration. For the encouragement of any who think they will try one more material remedy before giving Christian Science a trial, I will say I had many eminent physicians in Chicago, of all schools; I had electricity, massage, everything, in fact, that money could procure. One of my greatest sins was allowing a sense of depression to come over me. I was healed of that by reciting a verse from our Leader's poem, "Wish and Item," "That melancholy mortals will count their mercies o'er" (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 391). So that when tempted to grieve I say, "Am I counting my mercies o'er?"

After a few months' study in Science, I was cured of the grip by Truth revealed in the words "Being is holiness, harmony, immortality" (Science and Health, p. 492).
