When I first heard of Christian Science I was a great sufferer. I had tried different doctors and many different. kinds of patent medicine. I became so reduced in flesh that I weighed only a hundred pounds. I was afraid to eat, for nearly everything distressed me. I became so tired of medicine that I did not know what to do. While living in this state of fear and suffering I wondered where and what God was. I thought if there was a God and He was good, He would not let me suffer in this way.

At times I suffered greatly with neuralgia; sometimes in the head, stomach, heart, and bowels. I can truthfully say I have been wonderfully healed by Christian Science.

I do not mean to say I was instantly healed, but the more I studied and learned of this new-old Truth the more I wanted to know. Many times the old trouble asserted itself and just as many times did I declare God's presence and power, with the help of Christian Scientists and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I am in good health and weigh one hundred and forty pounds. I cannot express my gratitude to our Leader for the good I have received from her books.
