About two years ago my little daughter was accidentally scalded on her hip. When she put her hand on it, which she did immediately, the skin came off. The burn was as large as a tea saucer. It pained her dreadfully for a few minutes, then she asked me to telephone to a Christian Scientist to treat her. I did so, and she was relieved instantly. She went to school right along. It happened on Saturday, and by the next Thursday she could romp and play like the rest of the children. A thick scab formed, and in twelve days that all came off, leaving the hip covered with a soft pink skin like a baby's and without the least sign of a scar.

This, to my sense, was a wonderful demonstration, for which I as well as the child feel very grateful. Nearly all kinds of diseases have been healed in my family through the power of Christian Science. It all brings to my mind so clearly the truth of the Master's saying: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. ... If ye shall ask any thing in my name I will do it."
