A few months ago, I wrote a little article for the Sentinel. At the time I forwarded it to the Publishing Society, it seemed very small; and yet with it went the thought of love. About two weeks after the article was published I received a letter from a prisoner in Sugar-House Station, Utah. To me this seemed glorious, that with these few words of Truth, the heart of one who had been indifferent to all previous reformers, should be touched.

Following is a copy of the letter, which, I think, will probably be interesting to some.

"I feel sure you will forgive me the liberty I take in writing to you, when I say I do so to thank you for the ray of hope you have sent to a fallen brother, who has read these lines of your own. I have had many Christians talk to me, but they were unable to help me. Your few words read in a prison cell have dispelled much of the darkness.
