The Lectures
A large audience listened last night (February 28) to the lecture of Edward A. Kimball of Chicago, on "The Cause and Scientific Cure of Disease." Every seat in the lower part of the house was taken and the balcony was more than half filled. Mr. Kimball was given close attention throughout, many in the audience hearing for the first time of the nature of Christian Science. He was introduced by James A. Logwood of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in this city.—St. Louis Globe-Democrat.
The introductory remarks of Mr. Logwood were as follows:—
Ladies and Gentlemen:—I have been accorded the pleasure of introducing the lecturer this evening, and in behalf of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in St. Louis, under whose auspices the lecture is given, I extend to you, one and all, a most loving and hearty greeting.
