The True Law of Compensation
To the Editor.
Kindly permit an answer to the leading editorial of your estimable paper of the 18th, in which a column is devoted to an effort to show that Christian Science is inspired by commercialism rather than by the Spirit of Christ.
In the first place, the very lecture that was under criticism was given freely to the audience, and the poor and infirm were welcome equally with those in better circumstances. All the expenses of that lecture were borne by the Christian Scientists. Those who failed to hear the lecture may obtain free copies of the same at the Christian Science reading room in the Oliver Theatre.
