The Legationers
It is now certainly known that all the legationers at the Chinese capital have been rescued by the allied forces. This is cause for rejoicing and thankfulness, and millions of hearts are uniting in praise to Him who guides the destiny of nations, for the safe delivery of the representatives of the nations, including our own faithful ambassador and his devoted family.
Let us trust that the same Wisdom that has thus far guided, shall bring out of the present seeming chaos that order which shall still further tend to establish the kingdom of righteousness and harmony among the nations, for which the people of the world are longing, and which inspired prophecy distinctly foretells.
