Second Chapter of Titus

In this chapter we find Paul impressing Titus with the great need of every age,—living in strict conformity with our professions.

We are first told, "But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine."

To be sound all things must have a firm foundation, they must be grounded upon the rock, which endures forever. This rock cannot be a material belief, for everything material has beginning and end, hence is not everlasting and will, in time, fail. But this rock must be spiritual Truth, which is without beginning and without end.
