Reading Rooms Opened

The opening of rooms in the Chamber of Commerce, upon the doors of which is the legend, "Christian Science Institute Offices," has centralized the work and made matters easier for both healers and patients in Detroit.

The Christian Science offices include five handsomely appointed apartments, three being en suite and two separate.

As one steps into the main office, or reception room, the good taste and expensiveness of the appointments are at once apparent. The floor is covered with an unusually handsome rug, the pretty tables contain Science literature, the chairs are inviting, lace curtains fall over the two windows and sweep to the floor. Every available space on the walls is covered with pictures, mostly illustrating religious subjects. A large picture of Jesus at the age of twelve in soft brown tones, opposite a portrait of Mrs. Eddy, Founder of the faith; a steel engraving of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston; a heavy bevel-edge mirror, and other features appeal to the eye.
