A Letter to Mrs. Eddy
The following letter was sent to Mrs. Eddy with a painting of an Indian mother carrying her papoose.
Salt Lake City, Utah, March 28, 1900.
Dear Mrs. Eddy:—When I read the letter to a First Reader, in the March Journal, where you called the little fishes sweet thoughts, I knew you would be glad to see the mother-love in this Indian's face. I can see that when all the wrong thoughts about Indians are destroyed, they will not be called savages any more. Mamma says that my healing ten years ago did much to establish the work here. I do not remember it, but I hope God will always use me for Christian Science, then you will always love me, and I shall always love you. I am eleven years old.
Yours lovingly,
Florence Kimball.
