Rejoice

If darkness seems to encompass thee,
And mortal fear
Bedims thy sight and hides the light,
Be of good cheer.

The Light of Truth ne'er ceased to shine
A single day,
And each one can this Truth reflect,—
Watch and pray.

The darkness caused by human tears
Can have no place
When Joy, and Peace, and Truth, and Love
These tears efface.

Rejoice and know that all is Good,
Divinely fair;
Immortal Truth and boundless Love
Are everywhere.
