A Severe Burn
About six weeks ago while at work my husband got some hot solder in his eye. when he came home with his eye covered I asked him what had happened. He said he thought he had lost his eye. At first I thought I would offer to treat him, but as he had been very much opposed to Christian Science I thought it best not to do so. I gave him the remedies he asked for, but they failed to give him any relief. At 8 p.m. he went to bed. He groaned and tossed till 10 p.m. Then he asked me if I would treat him. I did so and in an hour he was asleep. When he awoke in the morning he put his hand over the well eye to see if he could see, but he did not say anything. During the forenoon he went up street, and went to see the gentleman who, the night before, had advised him to go to a specialist. The gentleman said, "Well what did you do to your eye? It was blistered and now it is all right." My husband told him that I had treated him with Christian Science. I felt very thankful that I was able to treat him. He said he never had anything so bad get well so quickly. I know he was thankful.
