Eye on the world: Healing and progress for all
For the first time since 2009, Somalia is establishing postal service and has its first cash machine. These are signs that the nation is beginning to move forward. Also, today Nigeria has been declared Ebola free. Continued prayer, of course, is still needed on all fronts.
In “The World Needs Prayer,” the author tells of how she was spiritually benefited by praying about a condition affecting another country, and also seeing results of her prayers.
“Healing for Our World” describes the value of prayer for the world, and also tells how the writer prayed when he was concerned about a decision his own country’s government was considering.
Speaking of the threats facing much of humanity, the author of “Watching over our world” comments, “When viewed rightly, they can arouse in us the kind of compassion that truly helps: the merciful act of watching and praying for mankind.”
