Eye on the World: For justice and peace in Mexico
Drug cartels are undermining the political system in Mexico and some other countries. Here are some thoughts about the spiritual basis of law and justice and how it can have a practical effect in daily life.

“Mankind must learn that evil is not power. Its so-called despotism is but a phase of nothingness. Christian Science despoils the kingdom of evil, and pre-eminently promotes affection and virtue in families and therefore in the community” (p. 102).
In “Spiritual values, an antidote to drugs,” the writer tells of his own release from drug addiction and comments on how prayer can support others’ progress.
“Prayer for our neighbors in Mexico” tells how the author, who was at first overwhelmed by conditions in Mexico, turned to prayer to support healing and progress there.
“The solution to crime: spiritual understanding” makes this point: “Evildoing is not natural to any of us, but there is certainly a need for diligent prayer that affirms what is true, namely the goodness of God and the spiritual nature of man.:
