Spirituality: What's it all about?

Live audio chat with Glory Holzworth, CS

In this chat Glory begins with a Bible quote that explains why spirituality is important. Quoting the Apostle Paul she says, “To be spiritually minded is life and peace" (Romans 8:6).  And to attain this spiritual life a person needs to be faithful to Truth and Love, which are synonyms for God. Since we are reflections of God, it's natural for us to be spiritual and to live the qualities of God such as “patience, meekness, love, and good deeds” that Mary Baker Eddy talks about in her book Science and Health with key to the scriptures. (p. 4:4) Glory concludes that it's our spirituality that “guides us, protects us, and enables us to experience more of heaven right here on earth."

Glory answers questions such as: Do we have to give up all material pleasures to gain spirituality? How can you know that spirituality is something real? Today many people are remembering last year's bombing at the Boston Marathon. How can spirituality help people move forward? Is it true that Christian Science teaches that every part of the physical body represents a spiritual aspect of the true body? Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you." Why then do you need churches or temples? And, many times I've been advised, "Just turn to God," how can I do this effectively? Glory answers these questions and more with the assurance that as children of God, we will be able to live the life divine right now and experience the joy, health, satisfaction, and peace it brings.
