How to have a fulfilled life

Live audio chat with Sabrina Stillwell, C.S.B.

Sabrina says, we all should “expect and know that God has good for you.” She notes the different ways we are told that we are fulfilled—by getting married, having children, having work that is satisfying—but she says that our purpose in life is God-ordained. So our jobs, children, marriage don’t actually give us purpose—God does. God’s messages to us are from Love, divine, and we will be blessed by God’s mothering. If we’re loving God and loving each other, we’ll be guided to what we need to do, and we will find fulfillment beyond our human expectations.

In this lively chat, Sabrina responds to questions from people who have jobs but whose lives feel empty, a stay-at-home mom who is looking for purpose now that her children are grown, employees whose jobs are no longer satisfying, older people (especially those whose spouses have passed on) wondering how to move forward. She also offers thoughts about a mother’s desire to support her daughter's longing for marriage and children.
