Loving your neighbor—is it really possible?

In this chat Ethel discusses the fact that “loving your neighbor” is possible because it's not a suggestion, but a commandment of God. And God gives us what we need to do it. She goes on to say that since God is the source of love, then we don't have to wait until outside circumstances change for us to love, but we have everything we need right now to love fully and unconditionally. When we put things in God’s hands, we find our way forward. Ethel points out that no right thought is ever unfruitful. The sunlight of God's love will extinguish the darkness of hatred and bring forth the harmony of the kingdom to heaven in our everyday lives.
Ethel answer questions like: How do we love our neighbor as ourselves really? How can we continue to love our neighbor in the moment when they do something obnoxious? What if your neighbor is either bossy, domineering, or thinks that they know what's best without regard to your own feelings? Does loving someone mean that you have to try to like them and spend time with them? And how do you love someone who seems constantly grouchy, complaining, and unlovable? In each case, when you know yourself and your neighbor as the child of God, “God will supply the wisdom and the occasion for a victory over evil” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 571).
