How does Christian Science heal?

Colleen begins this chat by explaining that “a lot of people see healing as coming to terms with dying or a long-standing physical ailment. But in Christian Science, health is harmony; and since the word heal is at the root of health, healing means to restore to a natural state of health or harmony. Healing in Christian Science begins with a willingness to change thought and uplift it to God. Healing also includes a cure, which is the byproduct of that change of thought.”
Colleen answers questions on a range of themes, including the difference between prayer and Christian Science treatment; what’s involved in the healing process; whether some Christian Science practitioners are better than others; healing life-threatening conditions; dealing with prolonged cases of healing; regaining confidence in the effectiveness of Christian Science; relying on Christian Science while under medical care for other conditions; praying for children with a so-called serious disease who are under medical care; and healing eyesight and dental issues.
