Finding your passion

Live audio chat with Robin Hoagland, C.S.B.

In this chat Robin begins by defining what passion means in the context of the chat. She defines passion as “what sets us on fire in a way that expands us spiritually” and connects us with God's plan. She points to Jesus' two great commandments—to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind and our neighbor as ourself—as a way to see if our passion is truly leading us away from sensuality and selfishness and toward a life of sinless joy and satisfaction.

Robin answers questions such as: I'm wondering how to find my passion? I'm currently looking for a job after being laid off and I have no actual professional field and no clear idea of what I should be doing next. How can you tell the difference between a passion that feeds the human ego and one that is divinely directed? How can you know if getting married to someone of another faith will interfere with your desire to be a Christian Science practitioner? It seems as though most people just resign themselves to doing a job they don't like for years and years. How can I look at working in a more inspiring, passionate way? Robin answers these questions and more by showing us that we can find a passion that is spiritually progressive, uplifting, healing, and transforming and we can begin to live that passion now.
