Colds and flu don't have to touch you

“We hear people talk about colds as the ‘common cold’ or of flu as being inevitable, and neither one is true,” says Barbara. She explains that talk about disease “leaves God out of the question, and it makes the person feel helpless.” Christian Science enables people to prove that the power of God heals just as it did in Jesus’ time. It’s possible to prevent and cure disease through reliance on His love. This isn’t a blind faith in God. It’s an understanding of His laws and the adoption of a childlike openness to God as the supreme power of the universe. This understanding of God heals.
Among the questions asked by site visitors were how to pray to overcome one’s own fear of disease, how to resist media and advertising influences that build up the disease, how to protect children from contagion, how to deal with the pressure from work colleagues or family to accept immunization when one doesn’t want to, and how to pray about sickness, including chronic disease.
