Cherishing children at Christmas

In this live chat, Judy speaks of the childlike qualities that belong to both children and adults: innocence, strength, honesty, a sense of justice, love, among others. And she makes the point that parents grow spiritually as their children develop. And adds, “Your prayer doesn’t stop just because your kids are big!” Speaking of Christmas, Judy declares that it “is truly about cherishing the Christ, in everything . . . . the real meaning of Christmas is love, always love,” and she notes that “it’s Love, God, that satisfies.”
Among the questions to which she responds are: How to deal with commercialism at Christmas and help children learn that it’s more blessed to give than to receive? How does prayer work in protecting children? Why should we cherish children? How to resist being irritated with them? How to pray for children who are sold into sex slavery?
