In her opening comments, Michelle tells listeners that this chat is not meant to “unveil a new food plan or Christian Science diet for body and weight issues.” Instead, she says our focus needs to be on actually laying aside thinking about our weight and body, eliminating any negative thoughts that would pull us down into fear and limitation. We can cherish a greater sense of our spiritual identity in place of looking at ourselves as material bodies. We can value how we express spiritual qualities such as grace, gratitude, honesty, and joy, which Michelle says “satisfies the hungry soul and cares for the human body like nothing else can.”
Michelle answers a number of heartfelt questions having to do with being overweight, dieting, exercise, body image, media pressure to eat or look a certain way, judging others for their weight, dealing with health challenges associated with being overweight, and more.
