Letters & Conversations

Letters

I just received the October 29 issue of the Sentinel [“Politics, elections, and prayer”], my first renewal after many years, at the very moment I was writing my state senator to arrange a meeting with our Christian Science Committee on Publication regarding the health-care issue.

Letters

I have been meaning to send my thanks, first of all, for the current order of the Sentinels.

Hooray for the editorial “ ‘Women in Politics’: More than a talking point” in the October 22 Sentinel! I love the point that having more women in present-day politics might help our leaders work together better, which is no surprise as women worldwide are perceived as family nurturers.

Letters

I was so happy to read in Christine Driessen’s article, “Our pastor: the foundation for Christian healing” in the August 20 Sentinel [“An appointment with the pastor”], that she reads the weekly Bible Lesson from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.

Letters

I love everything about Melanie Ball’s article, “Of ‘joints and marrow,’ ” in the September 3 Sentinel [“Worthy, needed, loved”].

Letters

Thank you for the August 27 issue, “Balance.

Letters

Jill Grimes’ article, “No balancing act necessary,” in the August 27 Sentinel [“Balance”] is filled with so many useful ideas.

Letters

I just finished the article by Kim Shippey in the August 13 Sentinel called “In danger, a reporter prays.

Letters

Gil Bird’s article, “Taking direction from God,” in the August 20 Sentinel underlines so clearly what I and my friends have so often said concerning the present pertinence of the Christian Science Bible Lesson, knowing that it was prepared weeks before.
