So grateful I received this issue in my mail yesterday. This article has been so helpful to me in proving how, when we refuse to be afraid or upset about any picture presented to us, we can witness to the truth of God’s harmonious creation. The idea of not seeing it “because God can’t see it” is very powerful indeed. I will be sharing this with many whom I know this will benefit.

Delighted with new designs

I just had to write and say how delighted I am with the new designs of The Christian Science Journal and Sentinel. The simplicity, clarity, and beauty are so much more welcoming and, somehow, comforting. The new size, layout, and font are perfect. Before, I struggled to wade through the many graphics and busier design that felt like distractions to me. Now the articles are front and center and invite me to sit down immediately to read. As one that does a fair amount of graphic design, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head! Everything is clear and balanced, and the few photos that are included stand out with beauty and purpose. I absolutely love it—thank you!

Beautiful and poetic

I just wish to express my gratitude to the staff and contributors to our periodicals and for their content. Reading the articles enhances my study and practice of Christian Science immeasurably. I would like to make special note of the editorial, “Reflected light,” in the Sentinel, February 25, 2013. This beautiful, poetic editorial presented the idea of reflection and made it clearer and deeper in spiritual substance to me. I especially loved: “At any time we are flawless reflectors,” “willing reflectors,” and “freed of the restraints of time.”

God’s laws

[“God’s law of completion,” The Editors, January 14 & 21, 2013, issue]

I love this editorial! Thinking about the laws of God always invokes such a sense of power. I have never thought about there being a law of completion. I have been thinking of how this applies to everything, and it has spurred me on to begin listing many of God’s laws—what a great exercise that has turned out to be. Thank you!
