Never in Eden

I never saw the snake
didn’t take the bait
No apple gave away
a partner to betray
I’ve been in God’s embrace
protected by His grace
forever free from guilt
no blossom born to wilt
No, I wasn’t in that garden
never needed pardon
And neither were you there—
we’re always in God’s care.
