Bible stories healed me!
One night, my back was hurting really bad, so I didn’t want to eat dinner.
So before we sat down, my mom and my older sister came with me to my mom’s bedroom. I go to Christian Science Sunday School and love the Bible story about Nehemiah. So I looked for a book about Nehemiah that I have, but I didn’t find it. Instead, I picked up Stories of Healing: Jesus and His Followers by Mary Jo Beebe, Olene E. Carroll, and Nancy H. Fischer (authors) and Genevieve Meek (illustrator). It’s filled with stories from the Bible about Jesus and his followers healing people.
My sister read me a story from the book about a woman who had been sick for a really long time. The religious rules at that time said no one was allowed to touch her because of her sickness. She had heard about Jesus—that he could heal people through the power of God. She went toward him in a crowd and touched the tassels on his clothes and was healed right away.
