Muscle pain quickly gone
My job requires me to repeatedly lift overhead loads up to sixty pounds. Early one morning, working in a cooler, I pulled a muscle in my back. At first, I tried to stretch the muscle, but that didn’t help. I knew that prayer was the only answer.
I reasoned that since, in reality, I am a creation of God, Spirit, I must be spiritual and express only His qualities. I began praying with the seven synonyms for God given on page 115 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I affirmed that divine Love loves me, so nothing unloving can happen to me, because God is All. And remembering that when an arrow flies true, it’s flying straight and on target, I knew that whatever adjustment is necessary, Truth makes it—in thought. Truth shows us our real, spiritual nature, rather than a material counterfeit.
Divine Life lives me. And because God is perfect, Life must include perfect health. God, good, is the Principle that governs me, so I can experience only good. Divine Mind is the only intelligence, and it is minding me, or taking care of me, looking after my every need. Spirit keeps me lithe and flexible. Divine Soul is always inspiring and supporting me.
