Forgiveness

Wake up one day
and send the wrongs that have hurt your heart
out on the morning breeze.
As they’re gently tossed by the sifting fan of divine Love,
watch the old, rough chaff
       quietly drift away,
while only the pure, clean wheat of Love’s
       gracious winnowing
remains for the heart’s harvest.
