Journey from self to service

Why think that life’s a contest, striving to find who’s best—
a constant competition, each day another test?
I pray, “Let me give this outlook a fully blessed rest.”

Accepting Spirit’s satisfaction, I am content
catching the light of Life; no need to invent.

Decide to whom your ears are lent!

Mind’s divine knowing is kind, with goodness unspent.

My thoughts, sourced as the Master’s, are full of mercy and peace—
all turbulent hubris released.

I keep in view Soul’s generous fulfillment,
that sacred grace of becoming unbent.
Pausing, I ask, “How do I welcome others into the Shepherd’s large tent?”
