Surprise! You’re spiritual. Accept it—and really live.
When did you first realize that you are spiritual? Perhaps it’s a truth you’ve always sensed, or maybe it’s only just now dawning on you. Either way, this realization changes everything.
Through prayer and through study of the Bible and the Bible-based teachings of Mary Baker Eddy in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, we learn that being spiritual isn’t something merely to look forward to in the future or something earned. It is our very nature right now—the way God made us.
Scripture declares, “God is Spirit” (John 4:24, New King James Version), and affirms in Genesis 1:26 that we are created in God’s image. What Spirit creates is spiritual. As Jesus explained, “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing” (John 6:63, New International Version). Therefore, to be spiritual is to know that we are God’s—the loved and loving expression of divine Love. We are not fragile, struggling mortals, but the radiant outcome of God—complete, cherished, and inherently good.
