Injury from car door quickly healed

Our family was getting into our car when our five-year-old daughter’s hand was accidentally closed in the car door. We freed her immediately, and I gently lifted her over the car console to be in the driver’s seat with me. She was crying and holding her crumpled-looking fingers and a discolored fingernail. My husband got in the passenger’s seat to be of support.

Sometimes, fear can seem overwhelming, but this time, I was encouraged by the fact that we were traveling to attend our annual Christian Science students’ association meeting, which meant we had prepared for a healing and uplifting time. I cherished this same expectation for my daughter, including that she would be quickly healed. In addition to my husband praying, our other two children, who were also in the car, were being supportive.

In earnest prayer, I thought of divine Love’s goodness. Since Love, God, is All, I expected to feel and experience Love’s presence all around us. As I saw everything in the light of this divine goodness, even the leaves outside the car window seemed greener.
