My heart was healed of feeling unloved
I was not raised in Christian Science—in fact, I was not raised in any church or religion. I had a rough childhood and didn’t know what unconditional love was.
Shortly after my husband and I were married, his grandmother invited me to a Sunday service at her branch Church of Christ, Scientist. I had no idea what Christian Science was, but I attended a few services and found it to be different from anything I had experienced before. Still, I wasn’t sure it was for me.
A church member suggested that I attend a Wednesday testimony meeting, as it would help me see how Christian Science works in our lives. I did so, and as I listened to the readings and thought deeply about the examples of healing shared in the testimonies, I began to have a better understanding of Christian Science and how I could apply its teachings in my life.
