Our freedom from vengeance

As I was about to voice an incensed personal put-down as payback for a friend’s recent unfriendliness, something different—and sweeter—came to me to say.
Proving that we live solely in God’s world is going to require a commitment to a God-demonstrating revolution in thought.
Such tender beauty, Lord,

What does our day look like if we go through it frequently reminding ourselves that there is no other Mind than God, Spirit?
Seeing as God, Spirit, sees involves recognizing that the perfection of spiritual being is the only reality of existence and that anything discordant is the darkness, which must disappear in the light of God’s infinite goodness, here and now.
I realized that healing results from seeing God’s goodness and our inseparability from that goodness, and from knowing that we are always experiencing it.
Discord is no part of God’s kingdom and therefore not real, so I knew I had the God-given authority to cast it out of thought, and I did so.
Praying for others with an unselfish motive calmed me and helped me to know that we are all safe and cared for by God.
This testimony confirmed the gratitude I felt after having hung up on a phone call asking for my Medicare card number.
