Seeing as God sees
When we catch even a glimpse of God’s eternal, beautiful universe, healing happens, and we are boundlessly blessed.
As I look back on the many healings I have had through the practice of Christian Science, I realize that seeing things as God sees them—getting even a glimpse of reality as God knows it—was an aspect of every one of them.
How does God, Spirit, see man? God is All, and all good, and created man (the true, spiritual identity of every man, woman, and child) in His image and likeness; therefore, it follows that man’s nature must be just like God’s and that this likeness must include reflecting God’s perfection. Jesus said, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48), and this is consonant with the way he healed.
I understood that God, Love, saw my mother in a way that made it impossible for anything to be wrong with her.
