What wonderful information and insights were shared about this familiar psalm—Psalm 23—in the article “A healing hour with the shepherd psalm,” in the Sentinel’s combined issue ofJanuary 11 and 18, 2016. I’ve always loved it, but thanks to Cheryl Ranson’s thorough, clear, and inspiring article, I am blessed by new dimensions of understanding that will shepherd my own experience going forward, at a time when this is especially welcome.

What a rousing and uplifting issue the January 4, 2016, Sentinel is! All the articles and testimonies are wonderful and so relevant to the prevailing thought in today’s world. I felt inspired while reading “Cycles and seasons—or the continuity of good?” by Kevin Graunke; “Our prayers to embrace the world and prevent violence” by Jenny Sawyer; “Praying for the earth’s oceans” by Valorie Miller; and Lyle Young’s editorial, “The Christian Science Bible Lesson and universal fellowship.” I listened to Iain Napier eloquently and sincerely describe his moment of awe “of being part of God’s spiritual creation” in his testimony “Quick recovery from stings,” and I was thrilled to read that Sunday School pupils are making their own lovely demonstrations in the article “How I prayed ….” Thank you so much.
