No more pain
Originally written in Portuguese, this testimony first appeared in the April 2014 Portuguese, French, German, and Spanish editions of The Herald of Christian Science.
Two years ago, when I was traveling in a foreign country, I began to feel pain when I urinated. The pain quickly became stronger. The next day, during my flight back home, I could barely stay seated because of the pain in the lower part of my back.
By the time I arrived home, I could not walk easily. I needed to use the restroom often. First I was scared, because I didn’t know what was happening to me. But then I decided to apply what I had learned through the study of Christian Science. I also felt the need to calm the fear in my thought, so I decided to ask a Christian Science practitioner to help me through prayer.
The practitioner told me about the importance of recognizing my untouched perfection, as the reflection of God, our Father and creator. He also said to firmly trust that God, who is divine Spirit and Love, has absolute control over His children and governs them harmoniously.
