Approved of by God

[“My birthday present: forgiveness,” Kathryn Jones Dunton, July 22 & 29, 2013, Sentinel]

Thank you so much for this article. Reading it made me think of how I was handling a very similar situation. I realized I was ruminating over mortal mind and not seeing the Christ in these individuals. I also liked the idea “I am approved of by God. I don’t need the approval of others to be happy or successful” and “to stop focusing on the actions of others and how they affected me and instead focus on the quality of my own thinking.” There were many points you made that I have underlined and will work with as I continue my work.

A wake-up call

[“Uprooting the seedlings of fear,” Bob Cochran, July 15, 2013, Sentinel]

I was dumbfounded at your finds in the thesaurus for fear. This is a real wake-up call for me, and I thank you for this article. It’s just what I needed.

Not helpless

[“A shift at the office,” David Fowler, July 8, 2013, Sentinel]

What a wonderful demonstration of the power of divine Love. It just proves that there is always something that we can do in any situation to bring about harmony. We are not helpless victims. Thank you for sharing.

Readiness to receive

[“A prayer that covers all needs,” Margaret Rogers, June 4, 2012, Sentinel]

Here we are halfway through the year of 2013, and I am just now reading this June 4, 2012, Sentinel article by Margaret Rogers! Apparently, I’m never left out and everything always appears when I’m ready to receive it. I find myself usually reading what I am currently in the process of learning. Your insight has opened the door to a richer understanding for me. Thank you, Margaret, for your brilliant insight into this most important prayer. I’ve been concentrating on this for ever so long, and it took your insight to explain it in the depth needed in order to grasp. I’ve let go of the rote and am now doing as Mary Baker Eddy suggested: Imbibing the spirit (see Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 495 ). It fits perfectly, and I send you my gratitude and thanks.
