Unharmed after bike accident
I had just arrived home from work late one afternoon when the doorbell rang. It was my nine-year-old son’s friend telling me that Tanner had collided with a car while riding his bike. I immediately ran out of the house, all the while mentally affirming the truth that God is All.
When I got to the end of the street, I saw Tanner lying next to an SUV with several people standing around. They explained that he had been racing down the street, not wearing a helmet, and his bike had collided with a car passing on the cross street. I kneeled beside him and began talking to him about God. I don’t remember exactly what I said, but I am sure it was about his Father-Mother God’s complete care for him.
An ambulance had been called, so soon the emergency personnel began assessing my son’s ability to respond and move. I was able to convince the ambulance crew to allow me to take my son home; however, soon the police arrived and they began investigating the collision. When they discovered that the boy and bike must have hit the car once and then flipped over, hitting the SUV a second time, the medical personnel insisted that they take him to the hospital for evaluation for head and internal problems. The police were very insistent, and I felt compelled to follow their direction. All the while I was mentally declaring God’s government of my son’s true being.
