Hair loss reversed
Some months ago, I became alarmed when I realized that I was losing more hair than normal. In places, the scalp was showing through. It was natural for me to pray about this condition, as I’d experienced healings through prayer in the past. I immediately affirmed that, as God’s child, I was perfect and complete, with nothing missing. In my prayers I was supported by the truth of my spiritual perfection, although at times I still became fearful when washing my hair.
This condition persisted over two or three months, but I stuck with prayer. While praying at one particularly worrying time, I came across the following sentence in Science and Health, which leapt off the page as if it was highlighted: “From the infinite elements of the one Mind emanate all form, color, quality, and quantity . . .” (p. 512).
This was exactly the message I needed! I understood that I couldn’t be deprived of anything good, and that all aspects of my expression—all “forms”—were perfect because God is perfect, and as His child, I reflect that perfection. The quality and quantity of my hair would always be of exactly the right type and amount. I clung to these ideas, and within a few days I stopped shedding extra hair and the hair-growth normalized.
