Accept and receive
One Wednesday night at church, the readings were on “prayer.”
They included the reference in Science and Health that says: “Our Master taught his disciples one brief prayer, which we name after him the Lord’s Prayer. Our Master said, ‘After this manner therefore pray ye,’ and then he gave that prayer which covers all human needs” (p. 16).
This prompted a memory of a family trip I took with my first husband, who has since passed on. We were going from Illinois to Pennsylvania in snowy January, to celebrate his folks’ 50th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful occasion!
