Impelled to ‘go and help’
Truly, my entry into Christian Science nursing was not of my own desire or design! God graciously directed me and prepared me for His work.
I was trained as a medical nurse, but began to question early on if this was the vocation for me. It seemed that I spent a lot of time attending to the physical needs of my patients but had little time to “minister” to them, if you will. I worked for a year, never tried my registration exams, and left nursing altogether.
