Emphysema and complications healed

In December 2007 after suffering with a severe case of influenza, I was diagnosed with advanced emphysema, heart damage, and high blood pressure. I was put on eight medications and oxygen, which became a 24-hour-a-day proposition, as I found it extremely difficult to walk or move or sleep without it.

In January 2009, with my condition worsening, new testing was done. Rhinitis and laryngeal reflux were additionally diagnosed and more medications prescribed. The final blow in June 2009 was an acute case of pneumonia requiring a 17-day hospital stay. Overwhelmed, I realized I could not go on living like this.

During this time I was daily asking God for a cure, pleading with Him to show me the way out of all this terrible distress. Several years before, a dear Christian Science friend had introduced me to Science and Health, and I had experienced a healing of sinus problems.
