God looks after you

Hi, I’m Sam. I live in the Philippines and go to the Christian Science Sunday School. One day, last July, it rained so hard at night. It was signal no. 2. That means the winds were about 100 kilometers per hour, and school was cancelled. Some places in our city, and in Metro Manila, were flooded. I was scared. But I knew God is always with me. So I prayed the Lord’s Prayer. It helped me to remember the line “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

My mom is a Christian Scientist, too, and she told me that God did not create something or anything that would hurt His children, because God looks after His children. And God sends only outpouring goodness and love.

The next day I prayed that it would not rain so hard, because I had school. And there was just a little drizzle. I was able to go to school. My classmates and I had fun that day.
