Rejoicing in Mind’s allness
For the lesson titled "Mind" from February 14–20, 2011
Marketing messages compete for “mind share”—for consumers to think of this product to buy versus that brand. But what of the mental battle in which frightening, alarming thoughts compete for mind share? This week’s Bible Lesson, titled “Mind,” exposes and explains how to win the mental battle between the seeming forces of good and evil, by making known Mind’s—God’s—allness.
The Golden Text provides a key with the phrase “the mind of the Lord” (Rom. 11:34). But what does that have to do with us? The Responsive Reading explains: “I [God] will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts” (Heb. 8:10). God and humanity are inextricably connected, at one.
The core truth that the only saving power is the one Mind, God.
