Letters

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the anonymous writer of “Thoughts on virginity and dating” included in the October 17 Sentinel [“Judging rightly”]. I loved the candid nature of the author and her humility expressed throughout. But most of all I loved to see someone choosing to wait until marriage for sex in today’s world, and brave enough to write about it! I know that many people can relate to the panicked feelings she describes of being either excluded or inexperienced, yet her spiritual growth and stature shines through. Thank you for including such an honest article that is sure to help many other young people.

The wonderful Church Alive articles in the Sentinel and The Christian Science Journal are a delight to read. While reading the last paragraph of the healing by Wendy Rose Bryden in the September 26 Sentinel [“Forgiveness—what it means”], I was struck by the thought that Church can be a verb along with being a noun, and that seems to be what Church Alive is all about. Thank you.
