Shoulder injury healed
Last winter I drove with some friends to a mountain in Vermont for a weekend ski trip.
Though I’m usually a skier, the first day I decided to snowboard. I thought it would be a fun challenge, since I hadn’t snowboarded since a trip with my uncle in my early teens. To my surprise, the skills I’d learned more than ten years before came right back to me, and I was keeping up with the group (which included some pretty advanced skiers). Perhaps because I thought I might be a little rusty, I was careful and stayed in control, and we had a great day enjoying the mountain.
The second day I swapped the snowboard for my skis. I was eager—perhaps a little too much—to show off my skills with the rest of the group, and we aggressively skied the mountain.
